We began today with a voyage out on Lake Merriweather in rowboats. It was very humid, and a thick fog covered the lake as we set out. Several of the scouts had never been on a rowboat before, but quickly learned the value of teamwork. One of those young scouts, AGE even rowed skillfully and was careful to time his strokes with the other rower very early on.
During dinner preparation, a thunderstorm came through, dropping torrents of rain. The rain put out one of the campfires, but the Viper patrol had a fire that lasted well past the storm. Both patrols had good meals, as the meal could be prepared on stoves. Later in the evening, TC organized and emceed a scout Campfire and troop meeting.
